This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding business as a key member of the team where you will take on the role of appointed MLRO.

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining a positive and transparent relationship with the National Bank of Belgium (NBB) whilst providing strategic, actionable advice and guidance to both the companies local CEO and the Global Chief Compliance Officer.

Key Skills and Experiences Required:

• Demonstrable experience as compliance/anti-financial crime officer in an NBB regulated financial services institution.
• Experience working in the Financial Services industry or FinTech institutions (preferably in a hyper growth global tech company).
• Appropriate knowledge and understanding of AML regulations including customer due diligence requirements, PEPs, and ability to refer to relevant regulation and/or industry guidance as appropriate (such as JMLSG).
• Experience in FinCrime operations, acting as the escalation point and ensuring positive hits are investigated and escalated as required.
• Experience of reviewing and implementing internal processes.
• Good interpersonal skills, with a determined and proactive approach, and excellent attention to detail
• A good understanding of the PSD2 Payments framework would also be highly beneficial for the role.
